A little bit about me...

I’ve been playing about with makeup and skincare since I could crawl! As a toddler, my mum found me on the staircase rubbing an entire tube of her face cream, all over my body and the carpet - she probably didn’t know whether to laugh or cry! As the years went on, playing with her makeup and products became my favourite pastime.  She always said I’d go on to become a makeup artist.. and that’s exactly what I did! 

 

Somewhere along the way - I guess I lost that confidence and felt it was never something I could do as a ‘real job’.  I remember sitting in the school library looking at university courses and feeling really uninspired and lost.  Then I typed ‘makeup courses’ into the Google search bar and boom - life began! 

 

I spent 3 years in Glasgow completing an HND in Makeup Artistry, which at the time, I believed was leading me towards a career in the TV & Film Industry doing Special FX makeup.  We partnered and trained with some fabulous brands like Illamasqua, Kryolan and Laura Mercier - while working on various makeup projects in the fashion, theatre and special fx areas. 

 

I got a part-time job as a sales consultant at Yves Saint Laurent, and it was here I discovered my love, for the fast-paced cosmetics industry and my infinite passion for skincare.  I then moved to Bobbi Brown, where I spent 6 years working on my artistry skills with genuinely, some of the best in the business.  I fell even more in love with skincare and skin health - which led me to further my training in clinical skincare.  I have been lucky enough to train with the amazing Nicola Russell, celebrity facialist and owner of Skin Geek.  

 

Now - I’m living my mini-me’s dream, as a Makeup Artist & Skin Therapist.  My life’s mission is to install the confidence - that I once lost - to every client I’m lucky enough to meet and work with!
